Tiger Woods last night announced that he will compete at The Masters next weekend.
The former world No1 – who is currently enduring the worst run of form in his career – made the announcement on his website.
The 14-time Major winner insists he’s got himself back to a level where he can now compete again.
He said: “I’m playing in the Masters.
“It’s obviously very important to me, and I want to be there.
“I’ve worked a lot on my game and I’m looking forward to competing. I’m excited to get to Augusta and I appreciate everyone’s support.”
Tiger has just returned from a two-month injury lay-off after citing further back problems.
And Twitter has gone into overdrive with the news that he’ll compete at Augusta – in the tournament which he has won four times.
Tiger Woods even money to miss the cut at The Masters. ?

Bore off Tiger Woods. I was looking forward to the Masters and only hearing his name the odd time. Now it will be every other work. #masters

Tiger Woods to play at the Masters. Should start a sweep to see how many holes he gets through. I'll start the bidding at 36. #missedcut.

Please try not to make the whole masters about u. If ya not playing well be respectful and don't fake injury @TigerWoods it's embarrassing.
