Floyd Mayweather Has $25,000 Gum Shield Made For Fight With Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather really has taken the expression “put your money where your mouth is” to a whole new level if the latest reports are true.

The 38-year-old boxer has reportedly splashed out $25,000 on a new gum shield, according to TMZ.

Mayweather – who is also known as ‘Money Mayweather’ – is set to sport the new mouth equipment for his billion-dollar bout with Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2.

The undefeated welterweight champion had the mouth protector custom-made, with gold flecks, diamond dust and even fragments of real currency all included in the plastic, while his name was stamped on it.

Although we’re not entirely sure what sort of difference this will make for Mayweather heading into the biggest fight of his career, but you can’t fault the guy for living up to his nickname.
