As the whole UK welcomes Manchester into their living room, we’re looking over to sunny Spain to kick off our betting this week.

After demolishing Villarreal 3-0 last week on their own patch, I’m backing Espanyol to carry on that form and beat Athletic Bilbao at 7/5.
The Basque club have had a tough week when Sevilla turned them over, but I’m backing the situation to get worse.
Staying in La Liga I expect David Moyes’ Real Sociedad to dispose of Deportivo.
Sociedad have won four of the last five at home, drawing the other and at 5/6 they’re a solid foundation to build a coupon around.
Back to the UK and Queen of the South, fresh from the thumping they gave Rangers, are EVENS to beat Falkirk at Palmerston.
They’ve won their last three home games and have beaten Hibs at Easter Road in between.
Serie A’s form team at the moment is Lazio with five wins on the spin and they’re at home to Empoli today. The Rome side at 1/2 is a safe bet.
All four teams on a coupon with Paddy Power is 13.20/1 plus you’ll qualify for their class 20% bonus.
Premier League Pressure
I’ve avoided both EPL games in my coupon because I feel there is a shock in the air.
With QPR’s resurgence picking up four points from their two away games, they’ll give Chelsea a tough game as they battle to beat the drop.
If the Hoops are to pick up all three points, the likelihood is Charlie Austin would have banged in the goal or goals.
A wincast for Austin scoring and a QPR win is 14/1 with Paddy Power.
Goals, Goals, Goals
I couldn’t finish this week’s column without discussing the game of the day… the Manchester derby.
This match has thrown up unlikely and likely heroes such as Andrei Kanchelskis, Michael Owen and Shaun Goater but I’m struggling to think of a match winner.
I do think there will be goals though. Both teams to score and draw is 16/5.
Fingers crossed we land some winners then sit back and enjoy the finale to the Masters.
