Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has tried to do a solid for his old club as he begged Luis Suarez to come back to Anfield following his display in the Champions League quarter final last night.

Suarez was sensational for Barcelona as he scored a double – both goals including a nutmeg over old Chelsea boy David Luiz – in his side’s 3-1 win in the first leg.

And former Anfield vice captain Carragher has taken to Instagram to plea with last season’s Player of the Year to come back to Merseyside.

Carragher posted a photo of the pair from last season with the caption:

Come back you know it makes sense!!

There’s no doubt Liverpool could do with their former hero back for the final six games of the season as they look to take over fourth placced Manchester City in the hunt for a final Champions League spot after Manchester United and Arsenal almost confirmed theirs with wins at the weekend.
