After a poor run of results, including a FA cup semi final defeat to Premier League strugglers Aston Villa, Liverpool must win this weekend’s fixture away to West Brom if they are to stand a chance of achieving their target of Champions League football next season.

The main factor in this match for me is motivation. West Brom are effectively safe already and the players will most likely be playing for a place in Tony Pulis’ plans next year. Liverpool, on the other hand, are on the cusp of missing out on the Champions League and with last week’s semi final defeat leaving a bitter taste in their mouth, I am expecting a backlash from the Reds this Saturday.
I also think playing away from home will suit them too with less pressure on their back from the fans and with West Brom’s defensive style playing right into their hands.

Mourinho vs Wenger
This Sunday could be the biggest match of the season so far with Arsenal playing host to Chelsea at the Emirates. Wenger has it all to prove having never won a match where Mourinho has been the opposing manager – the stats currently sitting at W7 D5 to the Blues manager.
In my view, Chelsea want it more than everyone else this season which is exactly what they showed last weekend against Manchester United. A big loss to Arsenal this weekend is Per Mertesacker, with the big German and his partner Laurent Koscielny having a formidable record when playing together. Mourinho has been quiet on whether or not Diego Costa’s fragile hamstrings will be strong enough to play this weekend. But they’re more than capable of doing the job without him to grind out a win in any way possible.

My other picks this weekend start with Scottish League 1 BRECHIN to win away @ EVENS against Stenhousemuir.
And I’m going to team that up with the following two on a treble, but will also have a punt on a double at the horse racing with Tony Mccoy to ride a double on his last day racing with:
