Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney Wishes Rory McIlroy Good Luck At The Masters With Instagram Post

Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney has this morning taken to Instagram to wish Rory McIlroy good luck at The Masters.

Golf’s most prestigious tournament gets underway today at Augusta National with former number one Tiger Woods making his comeback to a major.

However, Rooney took time out of preparing with his side for their Manchester derby clash on Sunday to wish Norther Irishman McIlroy the best of luck when he tees off today.

McIlroy, a well known Manchester United fan, is currently ranked number one in the world and is the 11/2 favourite to win the weekend’s tournament despite never having worn the famous Green Jacket before.

And Rooney hopes his pal can complete a Grand Slam with a win over in Georgia.

The England international posted the following photo of himself and McIlroy playing golf with the caption:

Can’t wait for the Masters later. Good luck to @rorymcilroy, go and get that career Grand Slam #masters
