After a shock 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Stoke City yesterday, Liverpool fans must still be waking up this morning hoping it was all a horrible nightmare.
But things are very real and apparently a lot worse than they seem as the squad lost 9 goals in two games to, what should be for a club of their stature, lesser opposition.
However, today marks 10 years to the day where Liverpool pulled out the comeback of all comebacks as they overturned a 3-0 deficit at half time in the Champions League final to win the cup on penalties.
And Reds legend Jamie Carragher has taken to Instagram to tell the fans to forget yesterday’s result and turn their attention to remembering that unforgettable evening in Istanbul.
The former vice-captain posted the following photo to his account with the caption:
Forget yesterday you can worry about it tomorrow! Enjoy today #Istanbuldudeksavedit
We’re sorry Jamie but we don’t think anything can make a Liverpool fan feel better about yesterday.
