Mario Balotelli has had his say on one of football’s biggest talking points this week.
The Liverpool striker took to Instagram to give his thoughts on those trolling Jerome Boateng after he was humiliated by Lionel Messi in midweek.
Boateng became the target of social media trolls after Bayern Munich’s 3-0 defeat to Barcelona in the first leg of their semi-final tie in the Champions League.
Barca forward Lionel Messi’s quick feet knocked the 26-year-old German international off balance causing him to fall to the ground before a stunning chipped finish over Manuel Neuer completed his double on the night.
But Boateng hit back at critics, referring to them as “haters”.
And now Balotelli has been reminding everyone just how good a defender Boateng really is – by posting a picture of him holding the World Cup.
Boateng was a main stay in the heart of the German defence as they stormed to the final before beating Messi and his Argentinian team-mates 1-0 in the final.
Balotelli and Boateng played together briefly at Manchester City.
