Nathan Redmond’s Mum Got Quite Excited After Her Son’s Goal For Norwich at Wembley

Nathan Redmond helped Norwich seal an immediate return to the Premier League by scoring in their play-off final win over Middlesbrough at Wembley this afternoon.

And his mum Michelle was obviously delighted to see him hit the net at the national stadium.

She tweeted immediately after Redmond scored the second goal in Norwich’s 2-0 win and we couldn’t help laugh:

Redmond’s goal came three minutes after Cameron Jerome had fired the Canaries one up in the 12th minute of their play-off final clash with Boro.

And they managed to hold on to secure the victory and their place in the Premiership next season.

It’s a surprising success story for Norwich and their boss Alex Neil after he joined the club in January with the club languishing in mid-table.

He took the club to a third-place finish in the Championship and replicated his play-off heroics with Hamilton Accies last season to lead his new club to the Premier League Promised Land today despite no-one in the dressing room knowing he was before he arrived.
