Jose Enrique poked fun at Chelsea last night for the lack of support during the club’s open top bus parade through West London yesterday.
The Blues players cruised through the streets offering fans a glimpse of their League Cup and Premier League double-winning trophy haul as they capped off an impressive season under Jose Mourinho.
But Liverpool defender Enrique mocked their parade last night by comparing it to the scenes on Merseyside following the Reds’ historic Champions League win back in 2005.
He posted the following picture, captioning it: “The difference between Liverpool and Chelsea.”
The photo shows a much larger crowd which has gathered to welcome Steven Gerrard and Co back to the city after arguably the most dramatic European Cup Final of all time.
Under Rafa Benitez, Liverpool fought back from 3-0 down against the mighty AC Milan in Istanbul to eventually win the match on penalties.
But Chelsea are unlikely to care much about what Enrique has to say.
The Stamford Bridge supporters have all the bragging rights when it comes to the silverware count in recent seasons.
