Roy Keane: Gareth Bale Can Make The Difference Against Juventus… If He Turns Up

Gareth Bale has struggled to replicate last season’s form this term and has been duly criticised as a result.

ITV pundit and former Manchester United captain Roy Keane led the charge on the Welsh international after his disapointing performance against Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

However, now Keane admits that the former Tottenham player can make the difference for Real Madrid tonight.

Speaking at the Allianz Arena last night after Barcelona sealed their place in the final by dismantling Bayern Munich, Keane said:

‘There’s no doubt in his [Bale’s] talent.

We’ve seen him do it before. We’ve seen him do it last year in the big, big games.

If Gareth is at it tomorrow [Wednesday] night, then they’ve got a chance. That’s if he turns up.

He’s a top player.”

Keane’s fellow pundit and former United teammate Paul Scholes agreed with the former Ireland international and argued Bale has to try to take his man on against Juve:

“We just want to see him more positive. We know the talent he’s got.”
