Roy Keane: I Would Have Lynched Dani Carvajal For His Part In The Juventus Winning Goal

Paul Scholes and Roy Keane have launched a scathing attack on Real Madrid in the wake of the Spanish club’s Champions League final defeat to Juventus.

Madrid lost 2-1 in Turin thanks to goals from their former striker Alvaro Morata, and a Carlos Tevez penalty. Cristiano Ronaldo had made the tie 1-1 for a spell, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side got their just deserts after a lifeless and tired performance.

And the former Manchester United duo – working as pundits for ITV – held nothing back in their stinging condemnation of the holders’ showing.

“It was very difficult for Real Madrid tonight playing with 10 men. Gareth Bale gave them absolutely nothing”, said Keane, before Scholes interrupted to say: “I’d say 9 men with Sergio Ramos as well. There was a real lack of quality with him in midfield tonight.”

Keane then went even further by claiming that he would’ve “lynched” right-back Dani Carvajal for his part in Juve’s winning goal.

“I’m angry at him and I’m not even playing. It was real schoolboy stuff. You’d have lynched him!”
He then concluded: “Madrid miss Modric, but they have to deal with injuries like any other club.”
