Steven Gerrard Thanks ‘Incredible’ Liverpool Fans After Final Anfield Appearance

Steven Gerrard called the Liverpool fans “incredible” after he made an emotional Anfield farewell yesterday.

The Kop legend said goodbye to the supporters after 25 years at the club.

But he had to do it after failing to help his side avoid a disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of an impressive Crystal Palace team.

Gerrard took to Instagram again this morning to give another thanks to the supporters who have worshipped him.

He posted this picture and wrote:

Thank you to Liverpool football club for an incredible day . Thank you to my team mates, ex team mates , all the staff I have worked with over the last 27 years and all the Lfc fans across the world . Me and my family will never forget my send off at anfield YNWA

Liverpool failed to get three points on Gerrard’s big send-off despite taking a first-half lead through Adam Lallana.

Jason Puncheon hit an equaliser before second-half strikes from Wilfried Zaha and Glenn Murray won the game for Alan Pardew’s side.
