Stoke City and New Balance Release Club’s Impressive New Kit For 2015/16 Season

Stoke City and New Balance Release Club’s Impressive New Kit For 2015/16 Season

Stoke City and New Balance have teamed up to launch the club’s new home and away kits for the 2015/16 season.

We told you earlier this year how NB are making big moves to rival Nike and adidas in the football market.

Lead HOME creative

They’ve done that by signing up several stars to sponsorship deals like Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany and Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini.

And New Balance have also secured kit deals with Liverpool, Celtic, Sevilla, Porto and Stoke – with Potters fans now knowing what their heroes will be wearing next season.

The new kits come as part of their ‘Like Nothing Else’ campaign and celebrates the distinctiveness of the club and their fan base.

As with every NB release, they’ve pledged to offer players the “very latest in performance innovation, kit technology and bespoke design to withstand the rigours of playing in one of the most competitive leagues in world football”.

The home strip stays true to Stoke’s red and white stripes, but the away kit is a classic design with a modern makeover.

And Stoke City striker Peter Crouch insists the squad were excited to see the first New Balance creation:

Players are always excited to see the new kits for the next season. This year has been that extra bit special, as it has been the first time working with New Balance. Everyone really likes the kits; we’ll look forward to playing in them next season.

NB say the kit shares a “common DNA boasting a contrast collar with v-mesh insert, piping to the cuffs, and a twin needle to the hem” and includes 11 tonal pinstripes inside the stripes to signify the strength and unity of the 11 players wearing it.

Lead AWAY Creative

As with the Liverpool kit which was released last month, the Stoke strip has NB Dry technology which helps keep the body cool and dry while playing and NB Flex technology to provide enhanced stretch.

Stoke City FC Chief Executive Tony Scholes also spoke of how delighted the club was with the new kit:

Whilst we are a forward-thinking club, we also treasure our past and for that reason we are thrilled to see that New Balance has perfected the mix of celebrating our traditional club values and showcasing future ambitions with these new kits.

And New Balance Football General Manager Richard Wright believes Stoke can have a lot of success next season:

It has been a pleasure and a very positive experience to work so closely alongside a club with such a fine tradition and stature. I feel like together we have created a set of kits that will accompany the club on many successful games to come in the new season.

The New Balance 2015/16 Stoke City FC home and away kits are available to pre-order now at (US residents) and (UK residents). Both kits will be available in store from 23rd May 2015.
