If anyone had any doubt about the quality in Manchester City’s youth teams, George Evans is the man to put that right.
The City 20-year-old – who has yet to make his first team debut for the club – was the difference as his side beat Toronto FC in their post-season North American tour friendly.
Evans was included in the starting XI alongside first team regulars Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Yaya Toure.
And he overshadowed all of his established team-mates as he bent home a beautiful 30-yard goal to win the game 1-0 for City.
It was so good it even got a round of applause from Joe Hart, Edin Dzeko, Jesus Navas and Kompany on the bench:

With many expecting City to freshen their squad up this summer, we wonder if this goal and performance was good enough to persuade boss Manuel Pellegrini to give the youngster a chance ahead of next season.
