Wayne Rooney Shares Great Picture of Him as a Kid Playing For First Ever Football Team

Wayne Rooney posted a great throwback Thursday image today as he gave fans a look at him lining up for his first ever football team.

The Manchester United and England captain grew up in Croxteth, Liverpool and started his illustrious career on a local park with Copplehouse boys club.

It was there where Everton scout Bob Pendleton saw Rooney’s potential before moving to sign him for the Goodison Park club.

And the rest is history.

Rooney has since gone on to star for Everton, United and make 103 appearances for England – but this is where it all started for the striker. It shouldn’t be difficult spotting him in the team picture.

He posted the great photo to Instagram and wrote:

TBT – Where it all began. My first ever football team, Copplehouse Boys!
