David Templeton Denies He’s Been Told to Leave Rangers and Refuses Painkiller Addiction Rumours

David Templeton has denied he’s been told to leave Rangers – and has also spoken out on rumours he’s addicted to painkillers.

The Scottish winger hasn’t played a game for the Ibrox side since their 3-0 defeat to Queen of the South at the beginning of April – failing to make any squads in the 11 matches since.

Templeton had to watch on from the stands as Stuart McCall’s men lost out to Motherwell 6-1 in the Premiership play-off final.

And he was forced to come out on Twitter earlier today to say he’s not been told to leave the club – while denying rumours that an addiction to painkillers is the reason for his two-month absence.

Templeton responded to a fan who had asked if he’d already been told he has no future at the club by writing:

He followed that up by addressing talk that an issue with painkillers forced McCall to ignore him in team selections:

Rangers fans – has Templeton been treated unfairly at Ibrox? Let us know in the comments below.
