Liverpool fans learned yesterday that, even after their beloved former captain Steven Gerrard finally jets off to the States and pulls on an LA Galaxy kit, they will be able to see his shirts and medals whenever they like after the midfielder announced he was donating them to the Anfield museum.
The special exhibition will feature match-worn Liverpool and England shirts, as well as shirts swapped with footballing legends the 35-year-old has come up against in his buoyant career, England caps, medals and trophies.
The media were treated to a sneak peak today before the collection went on sale to the general public, however, Liverpool decided they didn’t want fans to wait a minute longer as they posted a video to their Instagram account showing what would be featured inside.
#LFC’s interactive museum has launched ‘The Steven Gerrard Collection’, featuring his personal memorabilia from his entire footballing career to date.
