“Once A Blue Always A Blue”: Gerard Deulofeu Announces His Everton Return On Twitter

It seems Everton may have finally got their man after Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu confirmed he is moving to Goodison Park via Twitter.

Deulofeu spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Everton, a spell which saw him become very popular with the club’s supporters due to his direct style and flair.

And now Roberto Martinez has finally pushed a permanent transfer across the line, with the Spaniard expected to join in a deal worth around £5 million.

Deulofeu posted this message on social media, one which will surely only increase his stock with fans, as he all but confirmed his return to Merseyside:

The 21-year-old is understood to have a buy-back option inserted into his contact, one which will allow Barcelona to re-sign the player after two years in the Premier League if they so choose.

Deulofeu spent last season on loan at La Liga side Sevilla, where he played 17 games and scored one goal.
