Ronaldinho: With Coutinho And Firmino Liverpool Now Have One Of The Most Exciting Midfields In Europe

Brazilian icon Ronaldinho has heaped praise on Liverpool’s decision to sign Roberto Firmino.

The former Barcelona star even claims that as the club now boast the talents of the former Hoffenheim midfielder and Philippe Coutinho, they now have the most exciting midfield in Europe.

Ronaldinho would of course know all about exciting midfielders, having lined up alongside the likes of Andres Iniesta, Kaka and Andrea Pirlo during his career.

However the 35-year-old now believes Liverpool have stolen a march on their rivals due to the amount of chances and goals Firmino and Coutinho will create.

Ronaldinho told the Mirror:

“It is going to give them one of the most exciting midfields in Europe.

The creativity, intelligence, and goals they have between them can change Liverpool as a team.

To have a midfield with those two gives them a big chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season.”

The 2002 World Cup winner added that it will be a “dream” for Danny Ings, Daniel Sturridge and Mario Balotelli to play alongside the Brazilian duo:

“It’s a dream for Liverpool’s strikers, to have that sort of service.

If you can’t score goals in a team with Coutinho and Firmino then you won’t score in any team.

They will create so many chances.

For Liverpool to have Coutinho and Firmino is a big achievement for them.”
