VIDEO: Dedryck Boyata Admits It “Feels Really Good” Signing For A Big Club Like Celtic

This afternoon Celtic have confirmed the signing of former Manchester City star Dedryck Boyata on a four-year deal.

The Belgian international has struggled to break into City’s starting 11 this season and made just six appearances for Manuel Pellegrini.

However, the Hoops jumped at the chance to snap up the experienced 24-year-old in a deal thought to be worth around £1.5 million.

Celtic’s official Twitter account has since posted a short preview of an interview with their new signing, where Boyata claims it “feels really good” signing for such a big club.

The centre back also admits manager Ronny Deila was instrumental in his decision to move to Scotland after the Norwegian travelled to Manchester to meet the player.

Celtic of course have a good record of attracting players from Manchester City, former fan favourite Georgios Samaras was signed from City in 2008.

While City defender Jason Denayer impressed during his loan spell at Celtic Park last season.
