VIDEO: German Lower League Match Abandoned After Fans Riot On The Pitch

A lower league football match in Germany was abandoned at the weekend after waves of hooligans rioted on the pitch.

The shocking clashes too place during the game between FC Rot-Weiss Erfurt II and Lokomotive Leipzig.

Leipzig thugs were guilty of causing the disturbance in the match, which saw 31 people get injured, while eight people needed to go hospital.

The Leipzig fans forced the referee to call time on the game in just the 75th minute.

German legend Mario Basler, who is the sporting director of Lokomotive Leipzig, was caught up in the trouble as he failed to calm his club’s fans from their violenct behaviour.
