VIDEO: Mark Warburton Watches On as Rangers Are Put Through Paces On First Day of Pre-Season

Rangers were back in pre-season training on Saturday as Mark Warburton stepped up preparations for his first season as manager of the club.

The former Brentford boss was named Gers gaffer two weeks ago and has immediately set about rebuilding the squad which fell at the final hurdle of last season’s promotion push.

He signed Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan last week and both were present as the remaining players got put through their paces at Murray Park.

It was predominately pre-season testing which took place, including some weights, a speed test and a bleep test.

And Warburton will be looking to whip his side into shape before they play their first competitive game of the new season in the Petrofac Training Cup on July 25.

Rangers’ official YouTube channel released a video which takes fans behind the scenes and gives them the first glimpse of the Warburton revolution in action:
