Salomon Kalou may be an ex-Chelsea player and Emmanuel Eboue may have spent 6 years at rivals Arsenal, but it seems the two remain friends off of the pitch.
And today, Kalou posted a simply tremendous throwback Thursday of his Ivory Coast teammate.
Kalou and Eboue both represented their country at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa – a huge honour for any African footballer.
And although the Elephants failed to qualify for the knock-out round of the tournament, finishing behind Portugal and Brazil, the team will always have the fond memory of thumping North Korea 3-0.
During that match, with the game nearing the dying minutes, the North Korea coach called over one of his players to issue some final instructions.
However, Eboue saw this interaction and cheekily decided to run over and listen in.
Despite the conversation being spoken in fluent Korean, Eboue nods his head as if he understood exactly what was said:
