Ivan Rakitic has promised to cut off his hair on the pitch if Barcelona manage to win the Champions League again.
The Barca midfielder today responded to a story that he had promised to do it if they won the trophy this year.
He confirmed that his Camp Nou team-mates said they would do it – but they’ve been unsuccessful so far with him keeping the long blonde locks during their pre-season tour of the US.
But he has come up with a promise of his own which centres around Barcelona winning the competition again.
Rakitic says he will cut his hair while on the pitch after the game if Barca end up getting their hands on the title for another time.
And we can’t wait until he keeps to that promise.
The Croatian playmaker’s quote was shared on Twitter by respected Barcelona account @barcastuff:
Rakitic: "Didn't promise to cut off my hair if we won CL, teammates said they'd do it. But I'll do it on the pitch if we win again." [sport]

With a barnet like this, surely Rakitic will be hoping that Champions League comes sooner rather than later:
