Jose Aldo Pulls Out Of UFC 189 Title Fight With Conor McGregor

UFC Featherweight champion Jose Aldo has pulled out of the fight against Connor McGregor at UFC 189.

The Brazilian has withdrawn from a bout that would have been the biggest box office smash of his career.

The Irishman’s Brazilian opponent had thrown the fight into doubt when there was talk he had broken a rib but that rumour was squashed by the UFC earlier this week when it was confirmed it was just bruising.

But now Aldo has officially withdrawn from the bout.

So it’s official on July 11th at the MGM in Las Vegas, Conor McGregor will fight for a world title.

But that championship will be an interim one as he squares off against Chad Mendes for the UFC gold.

Stylistically Mendes is a much different match-up and with just over a week to the fight, the Notorious one will have his work cut out for him to get ready for him.

And Conor has had his say on Aldo pulling out of the fight.

Scotland footie international Robert Snodgrass also shared how he felt about Also’s withdrawal.
