Laurent Koscielny Marks His Fifth Year As An Arsenal Player With Throwback On Instagram

Five years ago today Arsenal signed a relative unknown quantity in Laurent Koscielny.

At just 25-years-old and having never played outside his native France there was an aspect of risk in signing the defender for £8 million.

Yet in many ways the deal with saw Koscielny move to the Emirates was a typical Arsene Wenger-style signing.

Most fans were unsure of what to expect from the player, however these same supporters have since grown to adore the central defender.

The France international is now amongst the most talented and consistent performers in the Premier League, so much so he’s been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent months.

However it seems Koscielny is more than happy in his current surroundings as he posted this throwback on Instagram this afternoon, along with the caption:

5 years as a Arsenal player. Very proud! #AFC #ArsenalFC#COYG
