Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has aimed a swipe over social media at rap star Drake this afternoon, claiming he isn’t loyal to any Premier League side.
Ferdinand’s comments come after a Twitter troll sent a message to wrestling legend Hulk Hogan yesterday, who was recently fired by WWE for making alleged racist comments on camera.
The troll decided to send Hogan a Tweet claiming he was Drake (wearing United colours) and his dad was ex-England international, Ferdinand and that they both supported the Hulkster.
However, this joke didn’t go unnoticed by the 36-year-old BT Sports pundit, who immediately wanted to set the record straight and humiliate poor Drake in the process.
Ferdinand posted this picture, showing the Hold On We’re Going Home singer isn’t exactly a loyal United fan as he has been pictured wearing Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool colours:
Rio captioned the picture:
“My son’s would never wear these kits… Their loyal to #MUFC …..@champagnepapi ain’t mine#HulkHogan ??”
Trolls bombared Hogan’s Twitter account after reports spread that his contract had been terminated with immediate affect by WWE and that his alumni page had been removed from the company’s website.
Pranksters sent pictures claiming to be other black Premier League stars including Romelu Lukaku, Kolo Toure and Danny Welbeck.
