Tottenham Send Heartfelt Letter to Family of Spurs Supporter Killed in Malaysian Earthquake

Tottenham sent a letter to the family of Sonia Jhala after she fell victim to a devastating earthquake in Malaysia.

The 12-year-old schoolgirl – who supported Spurs – died on Mount Kinabalu after the worst earthquake in 39 years hit the country in Sabah on June 5.

Sonia died along with 17 others – the majority of which came from her Tanjong Katong Primary School – and Tottenham has paid tribute to the tragic youngster via a written letter from Mauricio Pochettino to her family.

It read:

It is with great sadness that we have heard the news of the loss of Sonia Jhala.

We have been made aware that Sonia supported Tottenham Hotspur all her life and loved football.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on behalf of all the staff and players here at the Club. We know that she will be sadly missed. Our sympathy goes out to you all at this difficult time.
