Happier Times! Man City Ask Fans For Their Favourite Memories of Mario Balotelli

Mario Balotelli may have been alienated by current club Liverpool, but his former employers Manchester City still hold the Italian in high regard.

So much so, that the club decided to mark the anniversary of the date Balotelli signed for City by asking their fans what their favourite memories of the striker are.

The ex-Inter Milan forward signed for the Light Blues on this day in 2010 and spent three years at the Etihad Stadium, making 54 league appearances and scoring 20 goals.

However following a training ground bust up with then-City manager Roberto Mancini and several other disciplinary issues, the club decided to offload the troublesome Italy international to Serie A giants AC Milan.

Yet despite Balo’s questionable goal-scoring record in Manchester and his lack of impact in the big games, City fans still celebrate his genius/madness.

And after City’s official Twitter account begged the question – what was your favourite Balotelli moment – fans were more than happy to give their two cents:

Fans favourite moments included, his 94th minute assist to Aguero which won the title in 2012, the “why always me” t-shirt, the shouldered goal vs Norwich and his outrageous shot against LA Galaxy during pre-season:
