Victor Valdes turned up to Manchester United’s Carrington training ground on Sunday to find that his kit and belongings had been moved to the under-21s changing room, according to the Daily Mail.
Barcelona legend Valdes has been told he has no future at the Red Devils after manager Louis van Gaal claimed he refused to play in a reserve game last season, an allegation Valdes denies.
But the Spaniard was stunned to find he had been banished from even sitting in the same room as the first team, just days after van Gaal returned from the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
The move is understood to have upset his Spanish-speaking team-mates, who believe the action is disrespectful to the vastly experienced 33-year-old who won three Champions League titles with Barcelona.
Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and David de Gea are all thought to be seriously upset with their manager over his handling of the affair.
Are van Gaal’s actions fair enough, or has he gone too far?
