Rangers have this evening clinched a double loan deal with Spurs for highly-rated youngsters Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball.
We can reveal both players travelled to Glasgow tonight and will undergo medicals in the morning before putting pen to paper on season-long deals.
Mark Warburton will be delighted with the new signings, but will be annoyed at missing out on top target Harry Winks, who was told he will still play a part in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad this season.
Forward Oduwa and 20-year-old centre-half Ball, who were both being courted by a string of clubs from the English Championship, have been ear marked as future England internationals.
Defender Ball is thought to be a player with a big future and was recently persuaded by the FA to switch nationalities and play for England’s Under-21s after representing Northern Ireland at five different age levels from Under-15s up.
Rangers fans will be delighted at their recent forays into the transfer market, with Warburton having already shown his worth in the transfer market after some really shrewd signings. The two latest additions will do no harm to his approval rating at Ibrox, with reports suggesting they won’t be the last to come into Ibrox.
Oduwa and Ball will train with their new team-mates for the first time on Friday ahead of the match with Alloa on Sunday – which will be played on Alloa’s much maligned synthetic surface.
