Reports: Arsenal in Talks With Sevilla Over the Signing of Grzegorz Krychowiak

Reports this afternoon suggest that Arsenal have turned their attention toward the possibility of recruiting Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.

The combative Polish international starred in Sevilla’s UEFA Super Cup loss to Barcelona earlier in the week, however it’s understood delegates from Arsenal attended the match in order to scout the talented 25-year-old.

Krychowiak signed for Sevilla for a poultry €3.5 million from Reims in 2014 and won the Europa League in his first season at La Bombonera.

The player was also nicknamed ‘Le Bucheron’ or ‘the woodcutter’ during his time in France due to his fierce tackling – making him seem the perfect signing for Arsene Wenger.

beIN Sports correspondent, Tancredi Palmeri, who is a respected source on social media, Tweeted that Arsenal are looking at Krychowiak.

However he added that the Gunners are trying to sign the Sevilla player for less than his €30 million buyout clause:

La Liga expert Graham Hunter also took to Twitter but confirmed cash-rich Sevilla have not intention of selling Krychowiak, however he admitted if Arsenal meet the buyout clause, the situation will change:
