VIDEO: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Sings Country Music While Slaughtering Carl Jenkinson

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain showed off his best country singing while poking fun at Arsenal team-mate Carl Jenkinson.

The club’s official YouTube channel caught up with the Gunners midfielder ahead of the Community Shield against Chelsea last week.

And the Ox looked relaxed – which may explain why he was so impressive as Arsene Wenger’s men beat their Premier League rivals 1-0 thanks to his goal.

They questioned him about music among the squad and, after praising hip hop, he slammed Jenkinson – who will spend another season on loan with West Ham – for attending a country music concert in Salt Lake City during the off-season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain even breaks out in song himself so he can give viewers a better idea of the music Jenkinson is getting stick for.

But, like most athletes who try their hand at something completely different, he’s better sticking to the day job:

He even goes on to say West Ham has corrupted Jenkinson – who knew the Hammers had such an affinity with country music?
