Charlie Austin is going nowhere this transfer deadline day after confirming on Twitter that he’s staying with Queens Park Rangers.
The Englishman has been linked with a move away from Loftus Road all summer after his hugely impressive performance in the English Premier League last season.
Despite QPR’s eventual relegation, Austin scored 18 goals in all competitions and even earned an England call-up.
But after reported interest from a number of clubs, including Crystal Palace, Tottenham and West Ham, Austin is staying at QPR.
And instead of one of the reporters on Sky Sports News confirming the news, Austin himself was the one telling everyone about his future first.
He tweeted just around an hour ago and wrote:

Austin then went on retweet two posts from The Independent’s Sam Wallace, who is reporting that Austin will see out his contract which runs out at the end of this season:
It’s a welcome boost for QPR fans who will be hoping their side can bounce back to the English Premier League at the first time of asking.
