EA Sports Reveal Details Of The Best Defenders in FIFA 16

EA Sports have been teasing us for weeks upon weeks with details of the new FIFA 16 game, due out at the end of this month.

Over the last couple of months, we’ve brought you the news of the game’s fastest players, the game’s most skilful players, and why Celtic duo Nadir Ciftci and Gary Mackay-Steven are in several of the same categories as Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi.

And now Electronic Arts have detailed how the game’s best defensive minds are, and we’re sure it’ll cause a few raised eyebrows.

Naldo of Wolfsburg is all the way up in the dizzy heights of fourth, whilst Brazil and PSG captain Thiago Silva is, perhaps a bit unsurprisingly, in at number 1.

There’s no room for the likes of John Terry, Raphael Varane or Gerard Pique. Hmmmm.

Well, you can judge the list for yourself and come to your own conclusions…

10. DIEGO GODÍN – ATLÉTICO DE MADRID (SPAIN)

9. PHILIPP LAHM – FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN (GERMANY)

8. SERGIO RAMOS – REAL MADRID CF (SPAIN)

7. JÉRÔME BOATENG – FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN

6. PER MERTESACKER – ARSENAL (ENGLAND)

5. ANDREA BARZAGLI – JUVENTUS (ITALY)

4. NALDO – VFL WOLFSBURG (GERMANY)

3. MATS HUMMELS – BORUSSIA DORTMUND (GERMANY)
