Fans Can’t Quite Believe Nikica Jelavic Has Earned a Move to West Ham

Nikica Jelavic is now a West Ham United player after the club announced they had completed a £6million deal with Hull to sign the Croat on a two-year contract.

The move will reunite Jelavic with former national team boss Slaven Bilic.

And it further strengthens West Ham’s ranks after seeing Victor Moses and Alex Song both arrive on loan earlier today.

Jelavic has been playing in Britain for the last five years, enjoying a hugely successful spell at Rangers before earning a £5million switch to Everton in 2012.

He played two years at Goodison Park, scoring 21 goals in 69 appearances before being offloaded by boss Roberto Martinez to Hull.

And it was his failure with the Tigers – where he scored just 13 times in two seasons and contributed to their English Premier League relegation last term – which still sticks with most supporters.

So it’s no surprise to see there has been considerable outcry after Jelavic’s move to West Ham and back into the top-flight was announced.

Here are some fans who can’t quite believe he’s got the move:
