Rumours are circulating through the grapevine that things aren’t all quite rosy down at Old Trafford with many players said to be unhappy with the Louis van Gaal regime.
The Dutch boss took the reigns last summer and, apart from keeping on Ryan Giggs as assistant boss, has pretty much changed everything at the club with millions upon millions of pound being spent.
On top of that, his harsh treatment of players such as David de Gea and Victor Valdes has caused mixed emotions in the dressing room with former Barcelona star Pedro insisting he chose Chelsea over United simply because of the way his former team mate was treated.
And now, LVG may have hurt his team captain as he took a swipe at his accent in a recent interview with Dutch TV.
The ego-maniac admitted he can’t understand a word England’s record goalscorer says and also added that he is not articulate.
Van Gaal said:
When I speak, I am well articulated.
If you put Wayne Rooney here in the seat, and you start talking to him, do you think people can understand Wayne Rooney? You simply can’t understand what he says.
