Manchester United Fans Go Bonkers After ‘Saviour’ Anthony Martial Scores Twice Against Southampton

The £58 million that Manchester United could end up paying Monaco for striker Anthony Martial already looks like a snip and the youngster has only played in three games.

Today, in his second start for the club against Southampton, Martial scored two very calmly taken goals to bring his side from behind and claim all three points in a 2-3 win.

The 19-year-old Frenchman now has three goals in less than two hours of Premier League football when you add today’s haul to last week’s strike against Liverpool.

Louis Van Gaal was at pains to try and keep expectations down after the match, insisting that Martial still needs to find his rhythm in England and that he was ahead of schedule.

But there was no telling United fans on social media, as Twitter went into overdrive following the impressive performance. Looking at some of these reactions, you’d think Messi had rocked up at Old Trafford…
