Mathieu Flamini scored a sensational double last night as Arsenal beat their North London rivals Tottenham in the third round of the League Cup.
And the Frenchman obviously thinks it was a special enough occasion to end his social media silence.
Flamini, until this afternoon, had been one of the few Premier League footballers to stay away from both Twitter and Instagram.
However after last night’s heroics, where the 31-year-old veteran was voted Man of the Match, Flamini decided to finally make an Instagram account and connect with the club’s fans.
And as you’d probably expect, his very first post was about the North London derby:
This is of course Flamini’s second spell at the Emirates having rejoined the club in 2013 after spending four years in Serie A with AC Milan.
And the combative midfielder staked a strong claim for his inclusion against Leicester City this weekend scoring this sensational volley to hand the Gunners victory:
