Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic turns 21 today, and as you’d expect, his club sent him their best wishes on their various different social media platforms.
Th Serbia forward joined Steve McLaren’s side in the summer from Belgian club Anderlecht, for a fee in the region of £14 million.
But, unfortunately for the Toon faithful, Mitrovic hasn’t played as much as he probably should have this season because of his propensity to get into trouble with referees.
The man dubbed the ‘Serbian Balotelli’ in his homeland, is currently serving a three game ban for stamping on Francis Coquelin of Arsenal in August’s 1-0 home defeat. And Mitrovic was very fortunate not to be sent off on his debut for a reckless challenge lunge on Southampton after just 2.7 seconds.
So, Newcastle’s hilarious bit of trolling on the wild striker’s big day seems quite apt, really…

Other areas of their club are constantly accused of being a bit of a shambles, but at least we can rest assured that their social media department have their game on point.
