Roy Keane Lays Into Manchester United And Claims The Club Have Misspent

Roy Keane has absolutely slaughtered Manchester United after their defeat to PSV.

The former United captain is not afraid to put he boot into his old side, and he hasn’t held back in the aftermath of Louis Van Gaal’s side losing 2-1 in Holland in their first match back in the Champions League .

Keane went as far as to say that the Red Devils need TWO centre-backs, despite the outstanding form of Chris Smalling.

Speaking in his role as a pundit for ITV, Keane blasted:

You are on about the money United have invested.

I think going forward they will be fine. In midfield they are not too bad but I think they are crying out for a centre-half – definitely one, possibly two.

It was a poor result and performance. They gave away bad goals and certainly had chances to get something from the game.

Overall it was a disappointing night for United, with the bad injury. I still think United are all over the place.

It’s a bold shout from Keane, but is he right? After £300 million of spending surely it’s reasonable to expect United to be a bit further down the road than they currently are?
