Tottenham Present NHL Legend Wayne Gretzky With A Spurs Shirt Having Misspelled His Name

Tottenham geared up for their League Cup clash with Arsenal tonight by welcoming NHL legend Wayne Gretzky to White Hart Lane.

And as is so often the case when a celebrity attends a match of the magnitude of the North London derby, Spurs decided to present the former ice hockey star with an official shirt featuring his name and number on the back.

However in an astonishingly embarrassing twist, Tottenham managed to misspell Gretzky’s name on the back of the top, leaving Spurs legend Ledley King rather red-faced as he presented the shirt.

Whether Gretzky noticed the blunder remains unclear, however it seems that despite the kit error, Gretzky remains a keen Tottenham fan after he revealed he was advised not to wear any red on the occasion:

Spurs are on a good patch of form having not lost a game since the opening day of the Premier League to Manchester United.

Meanwhile their city rivals Arsenal go into tonight’s game struggling for form after losing two in a row against Dinamo Zagreb and Chelsea.
