VIDEO: Vincent Kompany Scythes Down His Own Daughter With Slide Tackle From Behind

Vincent Kompany should have picked up a red card for this.

It didn’t come this week as he captained Belgium to two Euro 2016 qualifying wins over Bosnia and Cyprus.

Instead, the horror tackle came in the aftermath of Manchester City’s victory over Southampton on the final day of last season.

Like the rest of his team-mates, Kompany had his family on the pitch as the squad said thanks to the home fans for their support during a difficult campaign.

And that included his five-year-old daughter Sienna.

When she appeared to poke fun at her dad, he playfully began to chase her towards the centre circle of the Etihad pitch.

But Kompany took things a bit far when he slide tackled the young girl from behind as if she was Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

And we’re almost certain this sort of tackle in a game would warrant a red card.

Fortunately, Kompany’s daughter is just as tough as her dad, jumping back to her feet almost immediately after being floored:
