VIDEO: Yaya Toure Names a Manchester United Player in His Top 5 Players Playing Today

Yaya Toure gave a rather interesting interview to BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand last night ahead of Manchester City’s Champions League opener against Juventus.

The Sky Blues were beaten 2-1 on the night but the result won’t affect Toure’s standing in the blue half of Manchester. Playing a key role in the club’s first-ever Premier League trophies, and first FA Cup and League Cups in more than a quarter of a century, Toure will go down in City folklore as a Citzens legend. Very little could tarnish his legacy.

However, his opinion on some Manchester United players might.

It appears that, despite being with the club for over six years, Toure doesn’t really get how football in Manchester works.

When asked by Ferdinand to name his top five players playing in world football today, Toure named United star Wayne Rooney. According to Toure, United captain Rooney is the fifth best player on the planet right now.

Brave choice, Yaya. Brave choice.
