Celtic’s Kris Commons found himself under the microscope during the Hoops 5-0 victory against Dundee United this afternoon.
And he didn’t shrink under the pressure as the midfielder produced an impressive performance, just three days after he reacted furiously to being substituted against Molde in the Europa League.
The 30-year-old scored a brace against the Tangerines, while goals from Leigh Griffiths, Scott Brown and Dedryck Boyata completed the rout.
And the former Scotland international even exchanged a friendly embrace with manager Ronny Deila after being replaced by Tom Rogic on the hour mark – showing that any animosity between the pair had been put to bed:
Celtic are currently top of the Scottish Premiership, having only lost one game so far this season and scoring an impressive 31 goals.
However, Deila will know the supporters will be looking for major improvements to be made in European competition if he’s to have a lengthy future at Celtic Park.
