Carlo Ancelotti Set to Take On a Role In The New Star Trek Movie

Carlo Ancelotti is set to attempt a bit of a bizarre career swap by taking on a cameo role in the new Star Trek movie.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager – currently taking a year’s sabbatical after leaving Los Blancos last summer – has surprised fans after landing a small part in the popular sci-fi franchise.

And now, according to Italian nespaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian coach will appear in the movie as a doctor on-board the Starship Enterprise.

Ancelotti has reportedly already filmed the scene in Vancouver after landing the part due to his friendship with actress Zoe Saldana.

Saldana, 37, starred in the last Star Trek films as Nyota Uhura and it is believed the actress was pivotal in securing Ancelotti the surprise job.

Star Trek Beyond is set to be released in July 2016 and it seems likely that the four-time Champions League winner will probably have a new managerial job by then.
