Is Ronny Deila’s Time Running Out? Celtic Fans React to Yet Another Embarrassing Away Defeat in Europe

Is Ronny Deila’s Time Running Out? Celtic Fans React to Yet Another Embarrassing Away Defeat in Europe

Celtic crashed to their second European away defeat of the season tonight, losing 3-1 to Norwegian champions Molde in the Europa League.

Ronny Deila endured a torrid return to his homeland after watching his side fall 2-0 behind inside 18 minutes to goals from Ola Kamara and Vegard Forren.

And when the Hoops finally did stir and look capable of coming back into the match when Kris Commons pulled one back on 55 minutes, Molde restored their two-goal lead less than a minute later.

The result leaves Deila’s side with just two points from three games, and now face two crucial home games against Ajax and Molde in the second half of the group stage if they are to stand any chance of playing in Europe beyond Christmas.

To top is all off, Kris Commons was seen having a blazing row with assistant manager John Collins in the dugout after being substituted with just 10 minutes remaining.

For the club’s faithful support, many of whom have watched this performance all too often in recent seasons, the entire evening was a bitter pill to swallow, and many are starting to question their manager’s wisdom…
