Jamie Carragher Makes a Confession About *That* Thigh Touch From Thierry Henry

When Brendan Rodgers was sacked last Sunday, few would’ve expected one of his former players to take the internet by storm that night.

But that’s what happened after the Northern Irishman was dismissed by Liverpool’s owners after the 1-1 draw with Everton that same day.

As the news was broken during Sky Sports’ Super Sunday coverage by anchor Ed Chamberlain, Thierry Henry famously leaned in to touch fellow pundit Jamie Carragher’s thigh, in what will undoubtedly be one of the most enduring images of the 2015/16 season; a moment that captured the imagination of social media users all over the world.

And now Reds legend Carra has finally broken his silence on hilarious incident, revealing that it wasn’t the first time the pair had exchanged moments like last weekend’s.

Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Carragher said:

I seem to have become an internet sensation this week after Thierry Henry touched my leg on Sky when we found out Brendan Rodgers had been sacked.

I wasn’t really aware of it at the time, I was just in shock at the news. But by the time I got home, everyone was sending round videos of it and having a good laugh.

But I have a confession to make: the first time Thierry and I were on TV together, I grabbed his leg! So maybe he was just returning the favour.

Well, well, well; it looks like things are very cosy in the Sky Sports studio!
