Kris Commons: Nothing Like Scoring Under the Celtic Park Lights

Kris Commons insists there is nothing like scoring under the lights of Celtic Park.

The Hoops midfielder had a hand in the first goal for Leigh Griffiths and hit the net himself to give Ronny Deila’s side a 2-0 lead approaching half-time in their Europa League group clash with Fenerbahce last night.

It was his third goal of the season for the Scottish champions and looked to have set them on the way to a win over the Turks.

But a mistake by Efe Ambrose allowed Fernandao to make it 2-1 before the break and the same man headed home just minutes after the restart to make it 2-2.

Commons took to Instagram today to share his thoughts on hitting the net at Celtic Park on a European night – and there’s nothing like it according to the midfielder:

Commons has made a stop-start beginning to the season for Celtic, but will be expecting to keep his place for the weekend clash with Hamilton after a strong showing against Fenerbahce.
